The Tallet
We hope to welcome you to
the village of Kemerton soon!
The Tallet is a beautiful Holiday Cottage, located on the western edge of the Cotswolds, close to the local towns of Tewkesbury, Cheltenham, Winchcombe and Broadway.
Originally a working stable block, serving the immediate farmland and the former "Wagon & Horses" pub (where we live), the old stables have now been converted into charming and bespoke self-catering accommodation.
We hope to welcome you to The Tallet and the village of Kemerton soon!
We are situated in Kemerton, at the bottom of Bredon Hill, with a host of footpaths and bridleways threading their way up, over and around the hill.
We have a wonderful coffee shop and a fantastic pub (The Crown) in the village, as well as a host of destinations you can build your walks around.
If you’re here for walking, then look no further!
The area has been designated as a Site Of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) since 1955, and features a 1stC AD Roman camp, and other points of local interest, such as the Elephant Stone and the ruins of Elmley Castle.
Bredon Hill was later immortalised in poem 21 of A. E. Housemans, A Shropshire Lad.
Other points of interest locally are Cheltenham Races, and the other festivals in the town (Science, Literature, Jazz, Music and Arts).
In addition, we are well situated for the Three Counties Show Ground, the Gloucester & Warwickshire Steam Railway, Sudeley Castle (ancestral home of Catherine Parr), Adam Henson's Cotswold Farm Park (as seen regularly on BBC Countryfile) and the pretty Cotswold towns of Overbury, Winchcombe and Broadway.
